The day I understood cricket

With the cricket world cup going on at the moment it’s been very difficult to just, well, ignore it. I normally don’t really care much about watching cricket but the spirit here has somehow managed to drag me in. 

In the 5 or so years that I lived in India I never really understood how cricket works. I asked several times, and was explained the rules many many times but it seems like I never gave it the right energy because I still had no idea what was going on. This period is officially over. I now know the rules of cricket. I can’t believe I just said that.
