A very merry Christmas

I shamefully abandoned my lovely husband in Argentina (some complicated visa story - for a change) and traveled home to celebrate Christmas with my family in the French Alps.

Like everywhere else in the region there is almost no snow with only a few slopes open which is sad for all those who wanted to ski but great for those who wanted to spend most of the day passed out on the couch instead!

Christmas, in the last few years, has been the rare opportunity when all six of us get together. My brother Oli flew in all the way from Melbourne and the other two brothers from London. That’s a lot of air miles just to be able to get together but completely worth it.

Christmas around here means a lot of awesome food, plenty of drinks, lots of laughter and chats around the table and a few naps in the afternoon to recover and build the energy for the next meal. You can’t change the French.

I wish everyone an amazing Christmas with the ones you love, because, after all, that’s what it’s about. (Yes, husband, I am coming back soon!)
