Road trippin'

I warn you but I am about to generalise: Indians love road trips. You’d be surprised how far they are willing to drive for one week end. And I’ve caught the bug. Over the years we have made some nice trips across Rajastan and of course many, many times to Dharamshala (12 hours, 550km - because of the mountains). This time it was even more fun because we had the dogs with us. 

I made this video when we travelled from Delhi to Udaipur (10 hours, 666km). 

Things you might want to look out for: 

-oversized trucks 

-cows and buffaloes crossing the highway whenever they feel like it

-Cookie and Palo sitting on poor Leo (the Doberman)

-‘highway’ food: fruits and crudites with spices

-a staring contest between a monkey and Leo. You can’t see it on the video but the monkey was really making faces and shouting at Leo. He was probably worried Leo would steal his banana (little does he know does Leo prefers guavas).
