Krishna Ranch - a few days in Udaipur

We had a few days free between Mozambique and our next adventure so we decided to go and spend them at Krishna Farm in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The farm is owned and managed by Dinesh and his wife Francine.

I first went there almost 6 years ago by myself. At the time, we were living in Delhi and I was in dire need of a few days of peace. A quick search on the Internet and some excellent reviews took me to Krishna Ranch. We have come back every year since then and it is better every time. If you ask me, it is a piece of paradise on earth.

The 6 cottages/rooms on the farm are surrounded by animals including but not limited to goats, cows, peacocks, chicken and of course some twenty gorgeous Marwari horses. As such, the only sounds you can hear are that of animals and birds, a rare luxury in India.

We come to ride, of course, but other options include hiking or simply resting. And just when you thought it doesn’t get better, the food is absolutely amazing (have a look on Trip Advisor if you don't believe me).

I think we might just come and live here.
