Santa Ynez Saddlery

I wanted a pair of long chaps to ride with but the tack shops we were recommended were all quite far and required a car. A quick Google search showed there were some tack shops right next to where we are staying. We went to one of them, the Santa Ynez Saddlery. The owner, Antonia Ortega, was charming and showed us around the shop.

His workshop is located inside the shop itself and it's a beautiful mess. I don't know if every tack shop around here is like that one, but thank god we didn't have much space in our luggage otherwise we would have bought a lot of things we don't need but are just so cool, like a few super heavy western saddles.

there are reins - I think
 bits & pieces
an Andalusian saddle with impressive stirrups
the 'pommeau' (not sure what the english word is) of a mexican saddle
 girths
the workshop - that's probably what my workshop would look like too if i had one
