From London to Windsor and back again

Despite living in London for 3 years as a student, I have never been to Portobello market in Notting Hill. The box was ticked this weekend and boy, was it crowded. You’d think that having lived in India I wouldn’t find London crowded. Wrong. London feels at times much, much more crowded.

It was still pretty fun to see everyone and all the stalls. I wanted to buy the entire stock from a Moroccan carpet maker it was so beautiful.

Instead, I settled for a delicious falafel and a nutella doughnut, well she said it was nutella but it was normal chocolate. I don’t know how people ever think they can trick anyone into thinking normal chocolate is nutella. It never works.

We walked to Paddington station from Notting Hill. It’s funny how sometimes you think you are just going somewhere and you discover the area you’re walking through is very pretty. And sometimes you want to walk around a pretty area and it turns out to be very crowded and not as pleasant as expected. So yes, the walk from Notting Hill to Paddington was surprisingly calm and pleasant.

After the long walk, we headed back to Windsor.

We had another feast with M cooking a storm!
