Two down, three to go

Palo and Cookie made it safely to Delhi. It was a nightmare to get them there but thanks to the dedication of Kelvin, our relocation agent, they reached safely.

For some bizarre reason Palo's microchip had stopped working (whilst in Singapore) so we didn't have a choice but to inject him with a new one. Of course that threw the Indian customs off as they tried to figure out whether we were really trying to smuggle in what is, effectively, an Indian street dog. I think the lack of logic as to why anyone would ever want to do that got the better of them and the boy was allowed through.

Once they were outside the airport the guys who were sent by the Indian relocation agent realised they forgot to book a cab. So we had to stick around for a while just outside the airport which was far from ideal since the dogs had just spend 8 hours or so in their crates. One woman came over and starting shouting at us, saying it was animal cruelty to keep animal in cages. I'm not sure what she thought - that we just happened to hang around the airport with our dogs in cages....oh well.

In the end, all was well and everyone got home safe.
