Happy Tails

The downside of working with animal shelters is to see the sheer amount of abuse that exists out there, and witness first hand the awful conditions in which many animals come through, often on a daily basis. The upside is you also get to witness animals that have been through a lot but that can now enjoy a life in peace.

Such is the case of our two amigos up there in the pics. They are part of several dozen horses that were saved from a stud farm. Reportedly, their blood line had been mix (these guys only want pure thoroughbred) and so had been left to starve.

Today, these horses spend most of their time lazying out in the sand sunbathing. They are well fed (not to say outright fat!) and very, very relaxed. Horses don't usually let people come close when they are lying down, so these photos are a testimony of how chillaxed these guys are!

A wonderful, heart warming thought...
