a 46 year old friendship

My dad celebrated his 60th birthday back in November, and my god father Rupert just celebrated his a few days ago. They have known each other for 46 years now, and I found out recently that dad was there for Rupert's first drunken/sick night! Hopefully it was not when they had just met, otherwise I'd judge them for drinking at 14!
